John Carew - No Hocus Pocus!

Ralph Ellis of The Mirror has an interview with Villa striker John Carew saying there was no bust up with Martin O'Neill and that he has been out injured.

John Carew Carew
His toe hurt in his shoe
And then he just got the flu
John Carew Carew...!

The Hulk said there was no 'hocus pocus' or any problems behind closed doors, just that he had a fever.

'I’m fine again, I’ve been back in training for a couple of days, was back in the team and hope to be again.'

The Hulk also says he loves the fans at Villa and he appreciated the welcome back he got from the claret and blue faithful.

The report also claims that he was the target of a bid from Seville which was rejected.

On the early knock out of Europe, he says they have to put it behind them and focus on winning v Fulham and qualifying again next season.

'Getting knocked out this season is a blow, but it won’t stop the manager bringing in other good players. When people think about coming to a club they don’t look three months ahead, they look two or three years ahead. It will not be a problem.'

So there you have it. The only thing 'Hocus-Pocus' at Villa is the spell Heskey has over O'Neill!

Yeah, as if he is going to come out and say he thinks O'Neill is a ***** and wouldnt play for him in his ridiculous team formations. O'Neill doesnt like him but has sanctioned a pre-read interview to get some fans off his back. days are numbered martin, go quietly now.....

rosetta, I dont think any sensible villa fan would want Martin O'Neill to walk out the door. He is one of the best managers in the prem. If he left now we would be buggered, and people like you would then blame him for walking out and leaving us in the situation we would be left in. He showed against liverpool that if the players put there minds together they can come up with magic.

just to steer this back to JC if possible folks, plenty of MON talk in the forum and to be fair, he is the manager and will imho remain so this season whether some like it or not! As for Big JC, we need him fit and in the team, he picks up a lot of knocks and bugs but when on form and playing, he is without doubt our biggest threat.

Just this season Fear? Seems a short sighted view. Why not for the xt few years too? Unlikely to replace SAF or Wenger, where else would he go for a good job. England unlikely too I would have thought now that the FA are back in love with foreign coaches. If he went who would be better?

No biggie, Fear, but the quotes were infact made known yesterday morning. Just trying to 'make a funny' on Mr. Vital Villan's behalf after his rather peculiar choice of headline the other day, 'finally a verdict from Monny' was it, 'finally' being the key word, 15 mins after MON had given his verdict the article (with a rather negative spin I might add) was up, yet when these positive, encouraging, conspiracy killing words from Carew were known yesterday morning it took almost 24 hours before they found their way to this site. Just an observation. Ah, never mind, who am I to complain on a day like this with 3 more points in the bag, and already 4 points up on last season's results against the same teams. UTV!

Consider Vital Villan slapped and he promised to renew his subscription to be on the press release list for every world wide media organisation so such news doesn't slip through his keyboard again. But yeah, this is a fantastic piece of news from Carew, it's positive, encouraging, conspiracy killing, and club sanctioned.

Everybody pulling in the right direction is what we need. Well done JC for contributing to a united front. Bored with the MON out brigade. Three wins out of four, JC and Gabby off the mark, Milner giving his all, Delph looking like a player, squad rotated, tactics switched to suit games, CC making a solid start, Heskey recognised as struggling. Let's hope the wins improve confidence and performance becomes more imaginative. Up the Villa
