Aston Villa have released a statement to those who attended the Rapid Vienna game last night at Villa Park:
Aston Villa would like to thank all those who attended tonight's game against Rapid Vienna.
As we have not progressed to the Europa League group stages, we will be looking at other ways to reward fans for supporting the team in the second leg clash.
Nice gesture but I'm not sure we need to be rewarded for being fans and supporting our team, then again, I'm hoping it is a Tag Heuer watch... I'd be well made up!
Reward enough was the entertainment that the Rapid fans provided to be honest, they were nutters and God bless them for it, fantastic bunch!
If anything, I'd rather the money was spent making a donation to Acorns?
Talking about donations to Acorns....![]()

Brooksy you are right but would you liked to have gone and told them all to sit down? The stewards would have been mobbed! I remember years ago the announcement to Man City fans at Villa Park was for safety please sit down (most were at the time) next second the whole lot stood up... point made! lol... THing is, action is taken sometimes AFTER the game and against the club.
