Unoial Villa News...

Congratulations to England, so proud to see the Ashes coming home! Thanks for the memories Freddie, you'll be missed!

All the news on Saturday was focusing on the possible signing of Blackburn Rovers left-back Steven Warnock: Steven Warnock INCOMING?

So I did an interview with Vital Blackburn Rovers co-ed SASMan: Blackburn Rovers Fan Opinion On Warnock 'Signing'

Big Sam video interview on Steven Warnock: Click Here

The big match build up with our preview, interviews on the Vital Liverpool site and Vital Villa site, video preview, Lawro's prediction and Steve Sidwell comments along with quotes from Nigel Hokey-Cokey who has a pop at me (!) and Gabby. Full details: Liverpool - The Big Match Build Up

Vital Villa asked in our last poll: Where Will You Be Watching Villa v Rapid Vienna? 30% are off to Villa Park to watch the game live. Another 3% are going to make up their minds on the day of the game. I guess with the game still having everything to play for results wise, a few might not be able to resist when push comes to shove?! Full results: Poll Results: Where You Watching Rapid Game?

Article submission, Northstandlower asks: Why all the DOOM & GLOOM???

Steve Sidwell our flame-haired star (sorry, not going to let the official site writer live that bit of poetic prose down!) says that the Villa fans had the right to boo the team following the awful no show against Wigan. He also admits that we are currently showing relegation form: 6 draws, 8 losses and just 3 wins. 'We do seem to have started where we left off last year and it is down to us and the manager to get us back on track. We have had a poor run of form and you can easily find yourself at the bottom of the table but it is just two defeats so far this season. It is still early and certainly too early to be calling for people’s heads.' Full article and MON comments: Sidwell Understands Boo's - MON Not So Much

James Milner is hoping for some new arrivals. He says there is talent and a 'good mix' at Villa but adds 'We could just do with a few more faces before the window closes. But it's all there for us. We showed last year what a good team we are. It's just about learning from the end of last year, when we struggled, and hopefully getting out of the blocks against Liverpool and kick-starting our season.'

Not had it confirmed but I don't think Carew is playing tonight, still got his virus. Hopefully he'll be fit for Thursday night or defo for Fulham.
