Sam Allardyce VIDEO On Warnock Situation

Big Sam has been talking to Sky Sports about the Steven Warnock situation saying that at the moment he is still a Rovers player and will have to go into the squad again as there has been 'no acceptable bid as yet from Aston Villa'.

'There is no acceptable bid as yet from Aston Villa so he is still a Blackburn player and I need him to travel with the squad tomorrow - at the moment. Whether that changes or not will be another story between now and the next 24-48 hours. We are obviously sat in a very delicate position at the moment.

He says what happens next is up to the Rovers Chairman John Williams and Villa.

He wouldn't be drawn on whether Warnock has asked to leave but does say 'I think it is obvious he would like to move to a club of that size without me trying to cover it up.'

From what Big Sam said, it looks like the value is the only stumbling point now. 'I don't think the value is beyond reasonable. If Aston Villa get to where we are going it looks like we might have to lose him. I don't want to but as much as I want to keep him it doesn't look like that is going to be the case.'

Sam means he hasnt been offered a "bung" yet! In any case, I still dont see LB as crucial, unless MON is thinking of playing him as CB. At least one CB plus playmaker MF and Stiker that can actually score goals is much more of a priority IMO! As soon as Bouma is fit, he will get the LB position anyway!

Sam sounds really depressed! Fancy admitting that he is working for a "selling" club?

villa_de MON has already said he is happy with our striker situation so I wouldn't bank on a new striker. :(
