Ok, so it is a quiet news day today but at least we have the Liverpool game to look forward to!
The site coverage so far:

There is also the match thread which will busy up even more tonight no doubt: vs Liverpool Match Thread
Tonight we'll have the match stats and depending on the time of the bosses interview, we'll also add that. Tomorrow we have the tread of Glensiders Away Report, always a very worthy read!
Our latest poll is asking for your predictions, looks at the moment there isn't much confidence, but hey just as we write them off, Villa often pull out a surprise, fingers crossed!
I'm a bit disappointed in Nigel Hokey-Cokey's comments on the official site. I've always stuck up for our midfielder who I think comes in for some over the top criticism, but he just had to have a dig reminding me I've again not been selected: NRC: No Fear
Bit nasty!
NRC says ahead of the game: 'It's one of the toughest venues in the game. It's a historic ground - you can't deny that - and people talk about 'You'll Never Walk Alone' before kick-off but we, as players, can't let that atmosphere get the better of us.' Saying Villa have to stay 'focussed' and show no fear to them or any other PL team. 'You must stick to your own game plan and not worry about the other team - that's key. Even though they managed to win 4-0 the other day, we really haven't paid too much attention to that. For us it's about going out there and doing what we do best.'
Gabby Agbonlahor meanwhile is wanting to re-create last seasons great away form. Would be nice to do the same at home for us 'grumbling' fans as well!? On the trip to Anfield: 'There have been some shocks so far in the first two games, so there is no reason why we can't go there and take something from the match. If you look all throughout Liverpool's team they've got star players but on our day we will cause teams problems away from home, as we showed last year. If we go there with the right attitude we can get a result. It's going to be hard but we've got a good team spirit so we can get a result.'
There are a few players who owe their manager a good performance, that is for sure, it can't all be put down to the manager the lack of wins since last Feb can it?!
Two worrying facts from the official site: Liverpool are unbeaten in the last 16 home and away games against Villa. This run includes one League Cup win. Our last win v them at Anfield was in Sept 2001.
COME ON VILLA.![]()
