well, that will be the end of the transfer window basically!

NOt a great end to my song I'll admit! The window closes 5pm Sept 1 because of the August bank holiday by the way.

I'm going to dash through this, I've had enough!

Portsmouth's defender, Sylvain Distin, linked to Villa over and over could be on his way to Everton according to the Daily Mirror.

Another link... and this would be a relief... Sol Campbell might go to Notts Forest, again the rumour is in the Daily Mirror.

The Sun say we are after West Ham defender... no, not £12m rated Matthew Upons... this time James Collins.

Not true though this, we already have one ginge and as we all know, you can only have one per team!

The Wales international is apparently available for £5m and MON is hijacking the proposed move for the 25-year-old to Stoke.

The Mirror are again claiming that Craig Gardner could be on his way to Birmingham City for around £3.5million. Not totally sure on this one, he might well be tempted to take a move after finding himself on the bench and a couple of kids preferred ahead of him BUT he was played last night which maybe suggests a move isn't iminent?

Think that is about that at the moment.
