Another Update On Carew

Well it seems so far so good for The Hulk and his infectious toe!

Speaking on the official site Monny has confirmed that 'developments' in toegate are going well and he's even more convinced that Carew will be ready for the Rapid Vienna game.

'We're fighting fit. John looks like he's made a recovery from his toe injury.

'He's certainly trained the last couple of days and there's been no reaction.'

Great, so come Thursday we should have a striker available who can score.

Im still not totally convinced by the story regarding carew on saturday....but I do hope he is available to play 2mora...I think he can be awful on occasions but when he does click i also think he is outstanding, and definately our best goal threat...he also seems to give others around him a lift & defo gets the crowd going, which was needed on saturday...I think a villa without carew would be in trouble...Heskey not one to lead our firing line for a season, the fonzx not ready & as for gabby, well the jury is still out...come on u VILLA!!!

all i know is, if it came down to it, and it was a choice between oneill and carew, at the moment, carew has the fans behind him 100000000%, and oneills tenure looks more dubious by the day.

IMHO, I predict after the team is announced NRC will be withdrawn from the subs bench with a broken right nuckle

I wonder if MO'N will play Heskey up front with Carew, assuming Carew is our first choice forward. It was glaringly obvious that Gabby was unfit on the weekend and he's a lazy fecker at the best of times. I didn't think heskey was that bad on the weekend when he got the ball that is, plus he does a lot of work. I really wouldn't mind him at all if we just had someone else that was able to score i.e. bent. Not too sure about the heskey carew combo though.

In a 451 formation let Carew be the lone striker feeding off our wingers. Do not play players out of position and we may just may well win!

My sources inside Villa Park said that O'Neill and Carew had a blazing row before the game on Saturday and he stormed off. This scene left the other players somewhat uncomfortable and the performance was the result. Since then, everything has been patched up and all is good - just how good we'll see later on tonight!

yup, seems to be what is being said godzvilla, he didn't 'storm off' as in leave Villa Park though, I have been able to find that out at least, he left as usual at the end of the game, albeit not talking / taking interviews etc!
