Shorey Still Unsure
Nicky Shorey has admitted he is still unsure about his Villa Park future after reports linking Villa with Stephen Warnock.
Speaking to the Express and Star Shorey said that although he still believed in his ability and he's enjoying his football he didn't know if he would still be at the club come September.
'Who knows in football, no one knows what's round the corner.
'Every player gets speculation about them at some time but you just have to get on with it.'
Being fair I'm not sure how 'fresh' these quotes maybe, because we've had months of practically the same thing when it comes to Nicky Shorey.
Our interest in Warnock doesn't necessarily mean an end for Shorey; it could be sadly because there are nagging doubts about Bouma?
At this stage we just don't know. Shorey performance wise hasn't really settled at he club but at least since he came back into the fold, Monny is sticking by him.
Would be far easier if we'd just sign people and close the window. Bored of all the speculation now.

Just goes on and on doesn't it? When he is good, he looks very good I think, he does fade in some games though. We are building though, so need to keep him I'd have thought?!

looks like distin mite want out of pompey after all and he would bring some much needed experience to our back line shorey should stay but i think we should also buy warnock as you never know how long it will take freddy to get bak into the swing of things

I think he is half the player he was at reading (it was reading wasn't it?!) And the guy is suffering from low confidence and who can blame him. I would let him move on if and when we have a fit Freddy + another left back. We can not keep shipping players out, simple as that.
