Am I alone in thinking that the players shouldn't say anything now, they should do their talking on the pitch this week as a way to maybe convince the fans who saw 'that' on Saturday that they are worthy of our undying support? Villa skipper Stilyan Petrov told the official site that the players want the game v Rapid Vienna to come quickly to show us it was a 'one off'... well, when they say one off, they mean one off this season, the last 15 games of last season didn't display great form, I think the frustration of the fans on Saturday wasn't just about that one game? He added, 'But it is about how we are going to play. We will worry about how we are going to play and we hope we can put in a much better performance. Everybody wants to be in Europe and we hope that after the next few games we will be in the group stages.'

Stiliyan Petrov says former Leeds midfielder Fabian Delph will be a big hit at Villa. He said: 'I'm convinced Fabian is going to become one of the best players in the country. He's an exceptional player, a great talent who has been clearly determined to make an impact straight away. He's only 19, so a lot of people are talking about him being one for the future, but I reckon he will be desperate to keep hold of his first team spot as the season progresses.'

Petrov also says 'More than anything, we want to be in contention for a Champions League place again.'
