Marc Not Albright On A Loan

Not quite sure where these rumours have come from, but MArtin O'Neill has said Marc Albrighton is in his plans this season and he won't be going out on loan.

Speaking to the E&S Monny confirmed that Albrighton was in his plans for the first team this year and will get his fair share of action.

'He is not one I would be wanting to send out on loan, because he will get games for us.'

The youngster has been a shining light during pre season, impressing in both the Peace Cup and most recently against Fiorentina leading Monny to state that it must have been a fantastic experience for him 'taking on and getting the better of quality players who have played Champions League football.'

Most fans are hoping to see more of Albrighton and not necessarily at the expense of Milner as most surely recognise his engine is better served as an out and out attacking centre midfielder.

Drive through the middle, Ash and Albrighton on the wings looks very tasty for the upcoming campaign.

A loan would have been an idea but after his pre-season, he has obviously shown enough to get a chance at times this season. Very exciting prospect.

Different options, rotation, more than 1 player per position!!!! Next you'll be telling me that Heskey might not be guaranteed a game every week and that Gabby will get a rest once in a while!!

Or may be 38 times in a while -unless he deserves his place!

i'm very excited by our emerging youth. Albrighton, Delfouneso and Bannan in particular. And now Delph although i feel he is already certain to play a big role. We still definitely need quality into the club though at CB and up front. 2 more defenders and a striker and i'll be happy.

I still would like to see another Midfielder, yes we have Delph, Reo Coker, Sidwell, Petrov, Downing, Milner, Young, Albrighton, But i still feel we need a creative player.

milner through the middle is something i've shouted about for ages and gives us a whole new dimension. Albrighton really excites me for this season, looks pure class on the wing going past players and putting in great delivery

Young Marc Albrighton certainly stole the headlines over in Andelucia, turning in some very eye catching performances. He really has come on in leaps and bounds over the past twenty four months or so, looking a far cry from the hesitant young man I first saw playing over at Bodymoor Heath. He now gets involved a lot more in games, having the confidence to take on and beat his opponent. He certainly is capable of putting some decent crosses in too, and has the knack of knowing that a winger doesn't have to beat his man every time before whipping those balls over. At twenty now is the time for him to really be pushing for a starting place, and while I dont really expect to see him in O'Neill's premiership starting line up all too often, he still has to grab that chance when the opportunity arises.
