Sky Sports News are claiming that Aston Villa nabbed Newcastle defender Habib Beye from under the nose of Hull City who had a fee agreed for the player earlier today.
The 31-year-old has apparently been at Bodymoor Heath talking terms and has now signed a 3 year deal.
As always, won't fully believe it until the official site releases a statement, but it looks like we have our third signing of the season.
Vital member adamson said: "I'm happy with that Beye! Versatile defender, much needed, Premier league experience. Alright, he was part of a relegated side but from what i've seen and heard, he was one of the better performers last season for the Magpies."
