Leeds Thank 'Honourable' Villa

Leeds Thank 'Honourable' Villa

Well, this is nice!

The Leeds Official Site carry a statement confirming that Villa and them have agreed a fee.

Ok, nothing unusual there.... However they go on to say: Leeds United wishes to place on record our appreciation for the honourable manner in which Aston Villa have conducted their interest in the player.

They also say that they have turned down a couple of subsequent approaches from other Premier League clubs adding Having given Villa our commitment to transfer the player (subject to medical), we had no intention of going back on that.

Just shows business can be conducted professionally and in this case I would suspect a lot of the praise should be directed to Paul Faulkner at Villa.

The Villa site also confirms that agreement over the 19-year-old who they inform us has played 53 times for Leeds as well as for England U19 and U21's.
