Exclusive audio interview with Martin O'Neill: Martin O'Neill Exclusive Interview

Fancy a tour in Cyprus with the former Villa legends? Cyprus Tour 25-30th September 2009Well, have a look here then! Cyprus Tour With Villa Legends

More quotes today saying there is no way that Aston Villa will sell Ashley Young. The Villa boss has spoken to the press and in The Sun says the 24-year-old, who we grabbed from Watford for 9.5million in 2007, wouldn't be sold even at 50million. Is that clear enough for everyone? Ash is not for sale.... gulp! Full article: Villa Would Even Refuse 50m For Ash Young

Well this article will be short and sweet. Villa and England winger Ashley Young has told the official site he is happy at Villa and still has lots to achieve here (following reports linking him outwards) Full quotes: England Winger Happy At Villa Park

Plenty of reactions to the news that Villa have sold Zat Knight to Bolton! Full article and comments: Zat Knight Sold... What IS Going On?!??!

Glensider on the match v Malaga: 'What a disappointing, uninspiring, ninety minutes of actionless, passionless football, that was from our lot. Nowhere near good enough. O.K., it was only game three of our series of pre-season warm up games, and a few of the players were making their first appearance since returning to the fold from their all too brief summer recess, but even so, that shambles of an offering was unacceptable. We barely threatened throughout, the old failings were once again clearly in evidence, and even our new signings were completely invisible!!! Clearly we are still a long, long way off being ready for the upcoming premiership campaign, and Martin O'Neill must surely be acutely aware of the huge volume of work that lays ahead of him between now and the big kick-off on August 15th.'

Mike Field: Stats v Malaga: Malaga 1 Villa 0

Pictures from the Malaga game on the official site: Click Here

Mike Field: Martin O'Neill, as he has been accustomed to doing since February this year was disappointed that we lost tonight. This loss tonight means that if Malaga can somehow not lose their next match on Monday night, our involvement in the Peace Cup is over. The Peace Cup is now no longer in our hands...nah, not really bothered either..... Managers reaction and quotes: Peace - We Only Lost

Mike Field: Emile Heskey staggered off in tonight's match against Malaga after sustaining a concussion, but he should be fit for our next match against Atlante....rejoice. Full details: Heskey Has No Long Lasting Problems

Ashley Young has told the official site he is happy at Villa (following reports linking him outwards) the Villa and England winger said: 'If you look at when I first came I set myself a lot of goals. I've achieved some of them - like getting into the England team, winning Player of the Month awards and being named the PFA Young Player of the Year. There are still things that I want to achieve here. The club's on a high - on the way up - and hopefully so am I, so I'm happy here.'

Martin O'Neill's transfers to date: Martin O'Neill's Transfers To Date

Details of Villa's new home kit and where to buy one: Villa's New Home Kit Launched

The ever excellent Something For the Weekend by Steve Wade, 'Peace pudding, hot and cold in Spain' full article: Something For The Weekend (244)

Thought for the day: I went to buy a watch, and the man in the shop said 'Analogue.' I said 'No, just a watch.'

Mr Fear a quiet week for Villa and this seems the response from Vital Villians. Waiting to see who you are going to bring, looks like I am lucky not holding my breath.

I have to say that after the last couple of polls regarding transfers, and the number of "relaxed chilled out villa fans" that seem to come on this site, the Villa fans I've spoken to regarding the club's situation with transfers are the exact opposite, I get anger, shredded nerves, etc, etc, I haven't spoke to one person who's happy with everything, forget the Downing signing he's a January signing, and still not sure why we needed him! To be honest I get a bit sick of being told no one else is buying, so we're in the same position. Is that true? I don't think so, last season we capitulated because of having one of the smallest squads in the prem, I'm not sure who to blame for us being in that positiion, better not say MON don't want more of his disciples coming having a go, so lets see the position, our finest defender 'come top scorer at one point last season' by a country mile retires, and our club captain and one of the best midfielders in the prem leaves for pastures new, then we sell another defender albeit a squad player, but he still left and Stuart Taylor leaves to go to citeh, so that's 4 down on last season, we are 17 days from the 1st game of the season, and have to say at best we will only get in four new faces to replace the four we've lost, and that's a complete guess, so please no Madam Zeldas coming on telling me the future 'live in the now' we have the same fixture list as last season, and I don't see anything different squad wise and I'm 100% on this - we won't find better than Laursen and Barry! So for me it's stand still for another season at best, I hope to god I'm wrong! Sorry I am wrong - i don't think we'll finish above Man City this year. So it's a drop down at least.

And yet you get others in the comments on this site saying when we say anything negative or angry that we are blue noses or need to get a grip! I agree, most of my Villa mates are frustrated, suppose all I'm trying to point out at the moment is there haven't been that many major moves for the clubs around us just yet, doesn't make it any the less boring waiting though and it is frustrating to see players going out!
