Villa Would Even Refuse £50m For Ash Young
More quotes today saying there is no way that Aston Villa will sell Ashley Young.
The Villa boss has spoken to the press and in The Sun says the 24-year-old, who we grabbed from Watford for £9.5million in 2007, wouldn't be sold even at £50million.
Is that clear enough for everyone?
Ash is not for sale.... gulp!
Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Barcelona and Real Madrid have all been linked but MON says of last years PFA Young Player Of The Year:
'If somebody came in with £50m, I would not do it. It would be up to the chairman but the last time I spoke to Randy Lerner he was not entertaining anything, at any price. There are loads of teams who want him but he's at the right club. I could not be more strong on this. He's not going anywhere.'
In The Guardian he added:
'Sometimes you leave a little caveat in somewhere along the way, where you feel that there is no chance unless someone makes a silly offer – that suggests there is a possibility. But there is not. He won't be going. We're really happy with him. He may not stay here at Aston Villa for the rest of his life; we're going to have to try and make progress. But my own view is that for him to go anywhere at this minute, even if it came to it, wouldn't be the right thing for him.'
