Vital Villa asked, in a poll suggested by Black Villian:
Do Villa need more investors to compete?
I clarified with the user what he was meaning and basically it was in light of all this talk of new billionaires entering the game, whether we need to look at supplementing the money we have available with the current owner or whether our set up is enough. He was quick to point out that he thinks Randy Lerner and his posse were great, so this wasn't an attack or criticism of what has gone on since the arrival of new owners following Doug Ellis's departure.
Anyway, 55% voted no, Randy is tops!
26% voted that more investment would help.
16% yes
2% had no idea and just 1% think we've enough youth talent coming through to make a challenge on the upper reaches of the league.

Bent is the only choice!! MON will get the best out of him and he's a better striker than Gabby anyway. Can see him finishing Carew's knockdowns all day...

Huntelaar or falcao for me. We really don't have to keep buying english players MON. Bent would be decent but Huntelaar has been left out of R Madrids squad for a preseason tour to Ireland. hey are looking to offload the guy and if Spurs are the competition then he will definitely choose us over them. Why no Tuncay on the list? He's been linked more than Bent and certainly more than Keane, and is as good a striker as either of them.

Bent is probably the most realistic, can't see Keane coming, Gudjohnsen to West Ham, and I don't think Crouch should come back, anyway we have big JC and Heskey.
Bent would be more lethal than Gabby in the box at this stage I would say.
