85% Take Carew Over Crouch!

Not exactly a shocker these poll results I guess!

Vital Villa asked:

Simple question, for our future, Crouch or Carew?!

85% said Carew... he's bigger than me and you...

5% said we need both, 5% voting that we need better and 5% voting for Portsmouth and England striker Peter Crouch.

You do realise his surname isn't Crouch don't you? It was just that his parents said Crouch to him so often when he was walking into rooms as a kid, that he got confused and thought it was.... I'll get me coat.

Our latest poll, suggested by black_villian, asks if we need more investors in Villa to compete?

Well, it looks like that Sunderland are very serious in their intentions to bring Crouch....

I wouldn't mind betting that we end up with another striker by the end of the window, and my money's on Tuncay, a first class player who'll add another dimension to our front line.

Crouch was a different player when at Villa before Merlin and under a totally different regime... he wasn't well used and didn't get a chance when DOL came. He'd be different now.

NOt sure where MON said he didn't want a striker lerneravfc? Missed that if he did. I'd think we needed another striker, competition for places and all that. JC picks up a lot of injuries, as does Heskey (both big lads, so that is what happens) and Gabby is hot and cold...young/lerning/not the finished product/blah blah blah!

Agree clarkamus, can see no way that Harewood will remain, he deserves a club where he has a chance of playing, Championship I'd think?

loreenzo, I'm not getting why people are so keen on Tuncay, or Downing for that matter. How many goals did they score between then last season? Not very many. Tuncay's a decent player but not exactly the answer to our goal scoring problems and bit of a dodgy temperament. Still, not sure we are getting any one better this window???

He said it shortly after we signed heskey,He said with delfouneso coming through now and with ashley young who can play up front aswell as carew and gabby we are sorted up front,The quote will be out there somewhere if someone wants to find it,I can`t be arsed. But whether he said it or not all you have to do is look at it with your own two eyes and see we have enough strikers to be going on with until jan.Plus we can always play reo-coker up there if needs be.

As for tuncay, downing and their goals,We score enough goals we need more players who can create them rather than ashley young all the time.
