So, Should Villa Sign Peter Crouch From Pompey?

Vital Villa asked in our last poll

Should Villa sign Peter Crouch? following reports linking us with the England and Portsmouth striker. Comments: Should Villa Buy Peter Crouch? and original article on the link: Aston Villa Linked With Robot + Other Press Talk

Well, the results aren't particularly clear cut, the yes's had it at one point but the final result... drum roll please... has 48% voting no to the former Liverpool striker, 39% yes and 13% were unsure and thought there were better options.

I'll forward our scientific findings on to Professor Martin O'Neill to study.... no, I don't know what I'm on about either, think the transfer fever has finally got to me!

Forum thread on Crouchie: Click Here

Today The Times have a report by Gary Jacob claiming Sunderland have bid £11million for Crouchie, signed by Graham Taylor for over £7million and sold to Southampton by David O'Dearme for around £2million ... DOH! The report says that Pompey are now considering the bid adding that Crouch, who scored 18 goals for them last season, isn't happy with the lack of comings and amount of goings from Fratton Park.

Fulham and Blackburn Rovers are also being linked.

Great Villa t-shirts, have a look here! http://www.vfootystores.co.uk/villa/ and sell for a very competitive £9.00 + postage and packing.

Crouch is a good striker but what different would he bring to the club. We need more options up front so we are able to change the style of play, a fox in the box would be nice

No, he is staying with us at Pompey! Not a happy place Villa Park last time for him either.

he was ok at Villa storagematt, just DOL got shot of him too soon. He was a different player, just up and coming. I remember when he returend with Southampton he came over to us when warming up (I sit by the bench... sadly not on it, although I am willing to do Harewood's job if asked) and was asked if he was missing Villa and he said too right and he'd love to still here.

Cant believe that there's anything in this story, but then again, nothing surprises me about football nowadays, I must admit. Personally, no way would I want to see him back here, but I accept that there's thousands who would. I just hope that Mart is not amongst them.
