We're Shore Alright In Attack

We're Shore Alright In Attack

Nicky Shorey believes Villa are all set in attack for next season with Gabby, Heskey and the Hulk.

Speaking on the official site, who didn't use such an awful title, Shorey said that the pace and power of our front trio will be key to our success next season as we continues out efforts at growth.

More importantly for Shorey, he believes it's a massive test for all the defenders at the club to play against them in training, as it improves their own game.

'All three are tough to come up against in training. But when you're with them day in and day out it improves your game defensively.

'John and Emile are both so strong and hold the ball up really well. They are so powerful and such an outlet for us defenders. We can get it up to either of them and we know they will be able to keep hold of the ball and give us a breather.'

Shorey also thinks the two big men can bring the best out of Gabby given his pace.

'They are the perfect foil for Gabby. John and Emile hold the ball up and use their strength so Gabby can dart in there with his pace.'

So the club have got someone in to talk up our attack, i.e. we aint getting a striker in, which I kind of gathered anyway with former targets, Doyle, Owen, RSC and Sturridge all moving without any bids from Villa. Darren Bent looks set to leave Spurs, willing to bet he isnt coming our way though, we will just have to hope Carew continues with his form and that Gabby finally has a decent season opposed to his usual good 2 months a year

Was that the end of the quote or did it actually say "so Gabby can dart in there with his pace when he's not asleep" ?
