Petrov Wants A Medal

Petrov Wants A Medal

Stiliyan Petrov has said next season will be an important one for the club, as they aim to pick up some silverware.

Speaking on the official site, in what could potentially be the backfire interview of the new season, Petrov insists we will be in the hunt for a trophy in the coming campaign and that we'll end our, what is it, 13 years without a Cup to celebrate?

'This club wants to move forward every single year. I hope season will be even more successful than the one just gone.

'We want to win silverware - some trophies - that's our aim. It's going to be a big season for us all.'

So as Petrov looks forward to adding medals to his collection, he also looks forward to next breed of Young Lions establishing themselves in the first team.

'We have some really promising stars of the future. They will gell and get better anbd better in the next few seasons. That is what is promising for this club and I want to be part of that.

'They want to learn and improve and want to be known as good players and achieve something.

'It's great we have players like that here.'

So silverware, and legends in the making - what more could you ask for?

I personally prefer an English player barking out orders.
