Owen & Gudjohnsen Possible, Tuncay Unlikey

Owen & Gudjohnsen Possible, Tuncay Unlikey

Ha, a bit more transfer gossip to keep us going until all the July action begins... he says full of optimism, or is it opium, I forget...

A gossip site says that Newcastle striker Michael Owen is pinning his hopes on Villa, Everton or Spurs coming in for him. I can see no substance to the article so won't link or talk about it further... we have an Owen thread in the forum ( Click Here ) should you wish to join in!

Moving on..

Sky Sports meanwhile have quotes from Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen's agent who also happens to be his agent!

According to his dad, the 30-year-old former Chelsea man will be leaving Barcelona this summer and Villa could be one of several potential destinations.

'There are many possibilities open to him and apart from Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton, there are also clubs in other European countries that want him.'

And finally, The Express & Star say a move by Villa for Middlesbrough's Tuncay appears unlikey as the midfielder wants to return to Turkey.

They quote a source at Villa saying there is a 'mild' interest in the player. Hmmm!

when it says,'Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen's agent who also happens to be his agent!', shouldn't it say tht he is his father who also happens to be his agent or something... would like to see Gudjohnsen at Villa Park nxt season, along with Owen and a few others

i think we need 2 forwards with harewood going out and then we can loan out delfouneso for a few months. keane, gudjohnson, owen and love would be a good short list for us to choose from. gabby, carew, heskey, owen, love, delfouneso. not that bad options upfront then, but maybe look to bring gabby and love out in wider positions at times?
