Monday's Aston Villa Transfer Rumours
Scraping the barrel a little bit today transfer link wise, most of what is out there is basically just a repeat of what we've already covered a 1000 times.
Not seen it myself but apparently on Sky Sports News Villa, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bolton are all being linked to with 23-year-old Portugal and Sporting CP holding midfielder Miguel Veloso. A few in the Vital forum (Click Here) seem excited by this prospect, so maybe he's a good one, I must admit, I know nothing (which could be my epitaph to be fair) as I don't watch much European football and don't play Football manager (only joking, only joking!...)

The Star today claim that Manchester City will beat Villa and Everton (who they say have both had bids rejected) to the signing of 20-year-old Sheffield United full back Kyle Naughton as money bags Citeh are prepared to match the Blades valuation.
Meanwhile the Daily Mirror reckon Everton are watching Sweden U21 and Groningen striker Marcus Berg who scored a cracker against England the other night. The player was linked to Villa last week.

Roll on July 1st. Nothing of importance happening for us. Looks like next season Man Citeh will be having serious go at cracking the top 4.

I think we will be alright. Plans are in motion i'm sure. Heard from someone i'd believe that we have got two done deals and one nearly done. The two done deals are Bentley and Hleb. Owens terms are being tweaked as we speak..... apparently. Oh, and big Sol Campbell is looking likely too. I'd be ecstatic with July starting like that.

Would make for an awesome press conference!!! But surely we could have better than Sol - Upson, Richards, Onouha, Naughton etc.

Deano i think sol would be ok to add experience if we got Richards and Naughton in defence as well id be very happy. Lot of talk about Velso as well but dont know anythin about him. Oh adam1248 can u reveal ur contact.
