Gardner To Get England U21 Chance Tonight?
The England U21's play Germany tonight having already guaranteed a semi-final place in the Euro Championships.
The game kicks off at 7:45pm and is on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports HD.
It isn't clear yet whether Gabby Agbonlahor has recovered from his calf injury in time to play but he has taken part in a 'light training session' over the weekend.
Meanwhile James Milner who bossed the last game (v Spain) has been a naughty boy and is suspended! As Craig Gardner replaced him in the 84th minute of the last game, maybe he'll be the automatic replacement tonight?
As we have qualified, you'd hope that Gabby is rested if there is any doubt.. or rested full stop..?

He says - with England U21's having a good record v Germany, 'We feel we have pace and power in our squad. Look at Fraizer Campbell, Gabriel Agbonlahor, Adam Johnson, Theo Walcott, James Milner. We've got pace on the counter-attack and the modern game is about the counter-attack.'
Mark Noble says the team are focused on winning the clash tonight. ' It was a great win for us on Thursday and has set us up nicely for the semi-final, but we still have one more group game to win tonight.' Adding, 'But just because we are through, we’re not going to take it easy, we want to win the game, finish top of the group and send out a message to the others teams.'

This could be the last straw for Craig , being kept out by Muamba and Cattermole might just mean he thinks he'll need a move for 1st team football . Noble is a good player but those other two are a pair of future journey men.
Gardner is no winger so why put him in on the wing.

he is captain, he is on the right of a midfield 3, the two wide strikers will drop deeper and act as wingers,
