The England U21's won 2-1 against Finland last night having gone down to 10 men. James Milner and Gabby Agbonlahor both featured. Next game up for England is v Spain on Thursday. Full details: Click Here

According to The Sun, former Villa hammer, Thomas Hitzlebeefburger is wanted by Arsenal. They say the 27-year-old Stuttgart midfielder (real name might be Thomas Hitzlsperger as opposed to Hitzelbeefburger, I really can't recall) is available on a free next summer but would fetch around £5m this summer.

Curtis Davies says of the transfer window: 'I expect a lot of ins. We had one of the squads that has used the least players again. I am sure the gaffer will want to be building the squad rather than to be breaking it apart. It will be an interesting summer. Last summer I think we signed something like six players and I can imagine something along similar lines. If people see the progression we have made as a team, and we get the right names here, they could help push us into the top four.'

Villa Promo: Villa are opening their shop doors at midnight on Friday - so make sure you get down here to be one of the first to buy the cracking new away kit. The Villa Store at Villa Park will be open at 11.55pm for one hour to enable our most loyal supporters to get their hands on the England-inspired white strip before the shops open on Saturday. The Sun have a report by Pat Sheehan. I'd love to leave the article there, leave you all guessing! Silly moment over... the report has quotes from Spurs and England midfielder David Bentley admitting that he is in talks with Villa. At least, a rumour that is true! The 24-year-old, who moved from Blackburn Rovers to Spurs last summer after Villa also bid, told the Sun: 'I’m in talks with Villa at the moment. I really don’t want to say much more. But we’ll see what happens. I’m hopeful of sorting it out as soon as possible.' Full article: Click Here and more talk on Vital Spurs: Bentley talks to Villa!

The Telegraph say that Villa, Fulham, Bolton and Everton are all interested in Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara.

There are some 'in the know' type comments in our transfer window thread saying that not only will Bentley be arriving but that we've also signed Tom Huddlestone: Forum - Click Here

Vital Villa asked in our last poll: David Beckham for a season? Looks like the idea gets the thumbs up with 87% voting Ooooh yes please! That left 13% voting, don't be so stupid, no way. Full article: Wild Beckham Rumour Gets 87% Backing!

Don't forget you can have your say in the Vital Villan interview: Vital Villans, have your say

Martin O'Neill says he doesn't want to part with 'cult' John Carew. The 29-year-old, who if you didn't know is bigger than me and you, has been linked with Manchester City and Spurs (who hasn't in fairness?!) but MON has now clearly said he isn't looking to let him go.: Cult John Carew Not For Sale

Thought for the day: BANGING: two pistachio nutshells together gives the impression that a very small horse is approaching.
