Not much in terms of rumours today.
Various reports suggesting that Villa are one of three clubs (Burnley and Wolves being the others) looking at Newcastle's Damien Duff.
The left winger was relegated with Newcastle at the end of last season and could be one of many players to leave the club.
Not sure about this one, Duff was a good player 5 years ago, but I am not sure what he would be able to offer us. A good signing for one the promoted sides but not for one aiming to finish in the European places.
We have also been linked to Benoit Cheyrou of Marseille, he is a French midfielder and his brother Bruno played for Liverpool.
Zat Knight is being targeted by Birmingham City according to The Guardian. There are no quotes but it also mentions that Bobo Balde has been offered a trial at St Andrews as Alex McLeish looks to improve his defence ahead of their return to Premier League football in August.
That`s it? How boring. We want more rumours!!! And some actual signings would be nice too!!

Duff, no way. Nothing like the player he was a few years ago and one of the reasons Newcastle went down, plus he'd still probably want big money wages

right Fear, duff would be duff, but has the halmarkings of a MON signing, just the same as Owen does! I think its sad that we are not being linked with any real class players! I wish I could just hibernate until August 31st.

i have to disagree about duff. if he stayed injury free i think he would be a very gd buy. he obviously wouldnt start ahead of ashley and would therefore a squad player. the own goal aside he was one of newcastles better players last season. one of the few players that showed a bit of heart and threatened the goal.
