Unoial Villa News...

John Carew - not sure if you know this but he is bigger than me and you - has told the Villa faithful: 'I will be here next season.' Carew was linked to Manchester City last week and did say that he was 'flattered' by their interest which started off a few alarm bells along the way for Villa fans. However the Norway international has put pay to those worries saying he has no reason to move, he loves it at Villa and loves everyone there! Full article: Click Here

Vital Villan: Craig Gardner is more than happy to fill Gareth Barry's boots should Martin O'Neill give him the chance, but he's also not ruling out a loan move this season either. Having been frozen out for much of last season Gardner is seriously looking at his short term future with a number of clubs interested in taking him on loan if rumours are to be believed. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail Craig explained that he was more than happy at Villa, and had no intentions of leaving the club in a permanent capacity, but admitted that he would see what happened. Full article: Craig Set To Decide Future

Vital Villan: Emile Heskey has said he would welcome Michael Owen at Villa Park with open arms should a move come off. Speaking to Setanta Sports News Heskey reacted well to the possibility of being teamed up with his former England strike partner. With Owen out of contract in the summer, it's a given he will be leaving Newcastle as I doubt with his injury record he will fancy his chances in the Championship - not least as he will still hope he can play his way into contention for what would be his final World Cup campaign. Heskey on Owen... audio: Heskey would welcome Owen signing (AUDIO)

Oh no, how will we survive? Vital Villan: I've never heard of the player before, but apparently after our scouts saw him play the club have opted against making an offer for the Hungarian International. Roland Juhasz was lined up as a potential replacement for Martin Laursen, however after watching him in Aderlecht's final match SSN are reporting that the club have lost interest. Hmmmm. Sorry, just started thinking about my tea and my mouth is watering. Pork chops and fried eggs if you are interested. What do you mean you weren't?

No go for Owen? Well, the official site said in a message via MON that we hadn't agreed a deal with Owen. Didn't say we weren't interested though?! Full details: Owen No Go For Villa?

Come to think of it, might have scrambled eggs...

Well, the papers today are split, some carry the story of Villa saying they weren't interested but others say we are still in for him. We are also linked with Pompey defender Sylvain Distin. Full links: Tuesdays Villa Transfer Talk - Owen/Distin?

Certainly not poached eggs though, never get the timing right for those.

How does a weekend on the beer in Newcastle with loads of football banter sound to you? Is that a yes? Well, read on… (FSF) Fans’ Parliament

Le Parisien apparently says Martin O'Neill is looking at Olympique Marseille midfielder Benoit Cheyrou to replace Barry.

Vital Villan: Not much different from his aim when he joined being fair to the lad but while the talking off the pitch sounds right, you have to hope the performance on the pitch will be aswell. Speaking on the official site the USA goalkeeper has admitted he is more hungry for first team action this season after tasting life at Villa Park seven times last season. Although Guzan only made one brief appearance in the Premier League, he did make six starts in Cup competitions including our ill fated Uefa campaign. Full article: Guzan's Aim For Next Season

Suppose I could just have a cadbury's cream egg, save all the cooking and clearing up?

Noooooooo. Please. NO promises on taking the cups seriously!!! Vital Villan: Well so says Luke Young at any rate who sounds bitterly disappointed that our decision to focus on the league didn't work. Speaking on the official site, well to be fair Dan Harrison formulating an article around the verbal comments of Luke Young, he said that he couldn't wait for next years Europa League because he'd forgotten about the joys of European football prior to the Ajax game. For those who remember, Young played in the competition almost a decade ago whilst plying his trade at Spurs, so it comes as no surprise really that our return to European action against Mighty Ajax stands out as one of the players moments of last season. European Football To Be Taken Seriously

Thought for the day: RAPPERS: Avoid having to say 'know what I'm sayin' all the time by actually speaking clearly in the first place.

Don't poach your eggs, simply buy them from the shop and stay legal.

Hope that Craig Gardner is given the opportunity to truly flex his muscles next season. There's a good footballer in there, a good young talent just waiting for an extended opportunity.

Not keen on this Michael Owen link, not keen at all. A strike partnership of Heskey and Owen just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. In fact its giving me sleepless nights.
