John Carew 'I Will Be Here Next Season'.

John Carew - not sure if you know this but he is bigger than me and you - has told the Villa faithful:

'I will be here next season.'

Carew was linked to Manchester City last week and did say that he was 'flattered' by their interest which started off a few alarm bells along the way for Villa fans.

However the Norway international has put pay to those worries saying he has no reason to move, he loves it at Villa and loves everyone there!

Carew said: 'There are always rumours when the window opens. One week it could be me, one week it could be Ashley Young or whoever. But I am so happy here. I love everyone here. I don’t see any reason for anything else to happen.'

He also says he feels wanted and knows he is in Martin O'Neill's plans.

'I am happy here. I can’t see why I should move.

The man is a legend already. I think a full season with JC staying fit could see our first 20 goals a season striker in the Prem.

LEGEND! agree with melski, he'll get 20 if he starts nearly every game and the fans keep singing for him
