Toulouse Striker Linked - See Video

A feature on Setanta claims that 23-year-old Toulouse striker André-Pierre Gignac is on his way to Villa this summer. Bet that is news to Martin O'Neill but hey ho!

Philippe Auclair from France Football Magazine told Setanta Sports News: 'Yeah. I had my doubts about Gignac. He came from Lorient, he was not really the greatest of players there. Then suddenly he's found a coach who believed in him and has played him in the proper formation for him. He likes to be the lone man at the top of a 4-5-1, which is the way that Villa play. He's improved tremendously. He's won his first cap for France. He's back in the French squad again for the friendlies. Physically, he's very impressive. He's very brave. Fine header of the ball. Best right foot in the French League.'

So there you have it!

I hope Setanta have got this right, because a story broke in Germany today that Gomez is going to Bayern for 30 M, and Stuttgart will buy Gignac and keep the change! Heres the link: http://www.bundesligamannschaften.de/vfb-stuttgart-mario-gomez-zum-fc-bayern-andre-pierre-gignac-als-nachfolger/

Terrible goalkeeping in the second video, I fancy Scotty Carson could have kept that out!
