Petrov Cleans Up At Awards Dinner

Stiliyan Petrov walked out of last nights Annual Dinner Awards with the main two gongs of the evening, picking up both the Players Player of the Year and the Supporters Player of the Year awards.

Delboy (Nathan Delfouneso to everyone else) didn't do too badly either, walking out with both the Players and Supporters Young Player of the Year Awards.

Goal of the season went to he who is bigger than me and you. Carew's goal against Stoke in March was picked as the best of the bunch and it's hard to disagree really.

The only other goal that comes instantly to mind was Ashley's winner against Everton for me.

The Former Players Player of the Year Award went to former midfielder Mark Kinsella.

Well deserved, been muchos impressed with Stan this season. Carew's goal probably just about deserved goal of the season, only others that I can think of are Sidwell's screamer in the first thirty secs against Everton and Milner's freekick the other week. For pure drama and elation alone Young's last second goal in the first Everton match wins hands down. One of the moments of the season.

I voted for Luke young in my book was by far our best player this season. PS and he has been playing injured, what a guy.

Merlin, Villa have a thriving former players team. The best in the country I am told. They raise alot of money for charity. Other clubs could take a leaf out of Villa's book when it comes to raising money for good causes. Acorns is another good example. Oh, and I wonder about your motivation for wandering about other club pages commenting negatively on articles that I would imagine would be of little interest to you. Got a day job?
