1. When you were League Two (Division 3) all those years ago, did you ever imagine seeing your side playing in the Premiership?
Back in 1999, the Premier League was only a distant dream. We managed to survive under Warren Joyce when we looked destined for non-league football. The move to the KC Stadium ignited our promotion bid, and quickly allowed us to move through the leagues. Even in the Coca-Cola Championship, the Premier League still seemed a distant dream but through hard work and desire, City managed to win promotion in the best way possible, through the Play-Offs at Wembley.
2. Have you enjoyed the season so far, what has been your highlight?
I enjoyed our start to the season with the undoubted highlight having been our 2-1 win at Arsenal. Unfortunately, since November, City have only won two league games and having been to every cup and league fixture this season, I must admit it has been difficult to watch the team in recent weeks. The players and management have given their all, and we can only support them for that. If we survive, I will certainly look back on the season with fondness. After all, whatever happens this will have been our must succesful season in our history.
3. Who would you like to see signed in the summer, should you stay up?
We must sign a striker (or two) to compliment Daniel Cousina and Geovanni up-front. In midfield, we need a left sided midfielder and a central midfielder whilst the defence will also need strengthening, especially if Michael Turner departs.
4. Do you think Phil Brown should be replaced in the summer or is he still doing a decent job?
I think whatever happens over the next four games, Phil Brown will be in charge next season. He has done a good job this season, I just hope that he has learnt from some of his PR mistakes this season. Phil Brown has seemingly earned the sort of repuation a manager does not want in some parts, so I hope that next season he is a little more cautious with some of his media comments.
5. Which players do you worry may be poached in the summer, if any?
Our two star players, Geovanni and Michael Turner. If we were to be relegated, we may lose the likes of Anthony Gardner and Jimmy Bullard, who despite being injured for the majority of the season, have shown their worth in the Premier League when playing this season.
6. What have you made of Aston Villa this season?
I was very impressed with Aston Villa early on and thought the top four were going to be broken into for the first time in four years. However, I feel O'Neill made a terrible decision in fielding a weakened side against CSKA Moscow. The league form immediately tailed off following a draw with Stoke City and Villa have been in decline ever since. However, the club appears well run by Randy Lerner and Villa must be in a good position to challenge the top four again next season.
7. What is your prediction for the game?
Both teams are out of form so I will predict a 1-1 draw (although I'd love a 1-0 away win!)
