Are Villa About To Sign Charles N'Zogbia?
I have to hold my hands up, I never really know whether to do articles like this, hence I rarely do. And no, I have no need at all to chase ratings and 'hits' as this site does very nicely without resorting to such things!
Anyway, this morning I had a bit of a tip off that the rumours we are set to sign Newcastle United's Charles N'Zogbia were totally wrong and that Villa had no interest in the winger at all.
End of discussion as far as I could see despite the player recently saying he would very much like to join Villa.
Anyway, it has been hinted to me via two sources since that Villa are on the verge of signing him with one going as far as saying he was having a medical this afternoon.
The 22-year-old told L'Equipe at the start of January: 'I'm at a turning point in my career. My agents are talking with Tottenham and Villa and, from what they've told me, Arsenal could also be in the frame. I have a preference for the Gunners but they are three great clubs.'
Later in the month he was quoted on Sky as saying 'The clubs that are interested in me remain the same, but it's tough because they are asking for a ridiculous sum of money. Arsenal and Aston Villa are top teams in the English league, so I'd be happy to join them. I don't have a priority. Both are good clubs, but I have a little preference for Aston Villa. They have been improving as a team in the last few years, which proves that they can do well. Aston Villa's manager is a good coach according to my friends I think he could make me better.'
He was also, according to the BBC, involved in a training ground fight with Andy Carroll.

He will sign for around 6 million Tomorrow,The hold up is with the medical and it is because they are still measuring his penis at B.HEATH,Which is according to my usually reliable source "bloody massive".

Difficult one this. I can see the sense in getting a young left sided player to fill the gap we hoped Shorey would, but Charlie Zog has a few temperament problems and Martin has steered clear of this type of player in the past (excluding Bellamy at Celtic!)

silkie villain wot about "zoggy, zoggy, zoggy"? simple but effective should we get him. I'm not fussed by him though and may unsettle the team. Would prefer Distin or Micah Richards as defensive cover/signings.

I really can't see this happening. Why would MON go for a player who is continually in the press mouthing off for all the wrong reasons??

Sounds like this one will happen, he is unhappy at Newcastle and like Barry in the summer has run his mouth, from what i can see he has spoken to the press twice, this lad just wants to play for a decent club, nothing wrong with that. Like with Heskey, i will reserve judgement until he has played a few games for us. Plus, i think I will trust MON on this one.

If I was him I wouldn't want to play for NUFC either! Come the summer all the players including Owen will be leaving like rats from a sinking ship. And "all the mouthing off", for goodness sake, he has been abused at Barcodes 4 years long! At his young age, its good he has high aspirations! Would anyone have blamed Barry for wanting to leave during the Dougie/DOL times? NO, and he is suffering the same! The manager doesn't even know how to pronounce his name for goodness sake! I hope he comes, will be a great signing under MON fatherly management!

Even Given has now handed in a transfer request at Barcodes, would anyone like to accuse him of being a moaner and trouble maker? So why then is N'Zogbia, just because he wants to move? He has suffered there even longer than Given, and who is to say he isn't as great a talent? Given has always been treated well at NUFC, N'Zogbia has always been played out of position or ignored!
