Gabby Improving

It looks like Gabby Agbonlahor may be fit in time for our clash with Bolton this weekend.

Gabby was withdrawn in the second half against Everton after suffering a calf strain but Martin O'Neill has tonight told the official site that he's making good progress and is 'improving'.

'Gabby is improving. He did a bit of light stuff in the early part of this week and we will now see how he is over the next couple of days. But he is making progress.'

I can't see Gabby not starting to be honest as long as he can walk. Be good for him to start off the bench though, give Heskey (if he's still walking this week) and Carew instructions to beat the defence around the head with soggy salmons for 60 minutes, then give Gab 30 minutes to run them ragged.

Boooooo. Oh sorry, that was inapropriate! No, good to see options returning, maybe all three strikers will be fit and raring to go?
The Fear
I love Gabby, and think he's been terriffic for us this season - and would have been even better had he not been mismanaged by O'Neill. But I'd like to see both him and Heskey on the bench for Bolton. We need to do somethign about the defence, and the extra man in midfield seems to me to be the obvious way to go. And this need't be a negative or defensive move, as the extra defenisve solidity should give us greater freedom going forward.
