'If It's Football, It's Vital'

O'Neill Remains Clueless

Martin O'Neill has admitted he is clueless over the FA charge levied on him following on from his comments about Mike Blimey O'Riley after the Man U match.

Speaking to Sultana Sports O'Neill explained that he doesn't know exactly what he has been charged with citing that all he has been told is 'improper conduct' relating to his behaviour in the aftermath of Man U's 3rd goal.

"I`ve got a few days in which to answer my case. I`ll find out exactly what the charges are, I genuinely have not read it yet and will do after Sunday`s game. If I think the case is worth fighting then I will do so."

It's certainly worth fighting, quite why managers during or after a match can't point out the referee's or assistants failings when they are openly obvious to everyone else is beyond me.

I know people have been through the injury time, and whilst it may have been minute accurate, there is also the truth that if we were playing Man U at Villa Park and the circumstances were reversed, there is no way in hell we'd have been given the time to get a winner.

And that's ignoring the foul on Ashley, and the 3 ridiculous offside decisions.

The offsides thing really frustrates me. Put simply we went out with a pacy striker who played so well he beat the offside trap THREE times. Put simply that was outstanding attacking play from a quality player with pinpoint, precise through-balls played from a highly intelligent, clever midfield. But because of one incompetent, unattentive, lazy linesman all that does not matter!!! WE did everything right and I am sure at least 2 of those chances would have turned into goals. I am sure if I was Agbonlahor I would think 'whats the point' his world-class, precise runs would go to waste. Im sure O'Shea, Neville and Evans were delighted that their poor defensive play was not going to be penalised!

I think we've had quite a lot of bad off side decisions against us recently. A howler against Ashley near the start of the Spurs match at VP springs to mind.

Hi fellas, i've emailed a few questions ahead of the game on Sunday, hopefully you'll be able to get them back to me before the match. I'll be happy to do the same in return.

Considering how animated and involved Mart gets during a game, any game, its a wonder that he hasn't found himself in hot water with the officials, a lot more than he has been. I'm not faulting him, or criticizing him for his involvement, far from it. Keep on doing what you're doing Mart. I'm happy to witness your passion.

As for the offside decisions missed at Old Trafford, is it any wonder that Mart had cause for complaint? And as for the five minutes of added time at the end of the ninety, well how often do we ever see in excess of four minutes in a Villa Park fixture. It was a ridiculous amount of time added on, extra time certainly not justified.
