Rallying Call – Come on you Lions!!!!

Rallying Call – Come on you Lions!!!!!!

Now I can take a lot of heart out of yesterday’s performance. I personally cannot remember the last time we won at Old Trafford but boy didn’t we run them close yesterday.

We looked dangerous going forward, John Carew was again on top form, Stiliyan Petrov again showing how much he has improved since last season and finally Gabby Agbonlahor scored.

Yeah so we lost, but I didn’t expect to get anything out of the game anyway, the past few years we have gone up there and got tanked so well done to the boys and I suppose was a great game for the neutral to watch.

Now lets get down to business, we have got all of the big four out of the way for the season and we have 7 games left. Mr O’Neill…. get the boys going!!!!

We have Everton (h), West Ham (h), Bolton (a), Hull (h), Fulham (a), Boro (a) and then Newcastle (h).

I think we can win all of our remaining games and still run Arsenal close for fourth spot.

Why not?

Arsenal still have games against Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea plus they have a minimum 10 games left of the season, we have 7.

If we can perform like we did yesterday for the rest of the season, then I for one will say, ok we tried, maybe next year.

So I issue a rallying call to all you Villa fans….Lets get behind the boys for the Everton game and get those vital 3 points.

Lets hear the Holte End Roar!!!!!

Yep, I'll second that. It's gonna be a cracker at VP next Sunday. We're still in the mix, still in with a shout. Forget the boos and ironic cheers - 100% behind Villa and nothing less until the final whistle against the Geordies, I say!

tickets still available for the Everton game as well, could be a GREAT game, got to help roar the lions on!
The Fear
Everton look hot at the mo but im confident we can bagged the points. We're due a big win and what better way than to spank the team 1 point below us at VP. We must have belief after yesterdays performance, regardless of the result. Up the villa 100%

I was there yeaterday, and thought we showed the fight and passion that had gone missing lately, we can do Everton. Come on Villa

Cracking show yesterday from the boys. Shame we didn't pack the midfield with 10 mins to go but was thoughroly proud of the display yesterday - looked like the team we can be! We were knocked out by a corking last minute winner by an unknown quantity! Shame. Gutted. But ****in' expected!!!! Now let's do Everton next week as we can take heart from yesterdays game... UTV!

Got some hospitality tickets yesterday so in the Stretford end with the Mancs...the lad next to me Manu U supporter from....Wolverhampton!!! We played well, they were short of players...however Riley is a weasle faced rat!!.As for that fat linesman who could'nt keep up with play and denied us clean run on goals, never mind the 5 minutes of added time.I duely celebrated our first goal jumping up while everyone around me sat down..ooops, but after the 5min announcement couldn't help but shout " 5 minutes...did someone get foookin shot!!...What a Joke....Come on boys, win or lose 100% is all you can give and that's good enough for me..UTV

We should have won yesterday, the boys were back in town. How good it was to see players in their right positions. Riley cost us AGAIN. We can do Everton, especially if Heskey is still out and Carew and Gabby are up front again. Come on you Villa boys, do us proud!!!!

I think something of a reality check is in order. The Everton we'll be up against will be FAR stronger than the Man Utd team we've surrendered to. We're also playing at home, and as we all know, our home form is abysmal. I can see it now. Having been 'better' than Man Utd, there will be an expectation at VP for the team to roll over 'little' Everton. And if it doesn't happen (and everything points to that scenario), things will probably get ugly. Oh dear.
Albarnista
Dont be such a pessimist Albarnista. Everton are a good team admittedly, but personally from what I witnessed in the two previous games this campaign against them, both at Goodison, they are certainly a notch below us. I dont think though that any Villan out there, management, players, or supporters, views Moyes' lot as 'little Everton'.

Hopefully the game will be a sell-out. No reason to think it wont be, we need to hang our heads in shame if it isn't. Get behind the lads, support each and every one of them, and we'll do fine. The last thing our players need is to be playing against the home supporters, as well as the merseyside blues.
