Bent To Replace Heskey, Gabby To Replace Bent!

The England injury run has continued, this time Spurs striker Darren Bent, called in as a replacement for Emile Heskey who picked up yet another hamstring injury after scoring for England at the weekend, has limped out of training.

Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has been called up ahead of the World Cup qualifer against Ukraine. Gabby had to withdraw from the U21 squad last week as a precautionary measure after suffering a hamstring injury.

A fit Michael Owen is available and Capello calls up a striker suffering a goal drought? Ok!

perhaps npw you guys should worry, with four strikers injured, losing Gabby could be a disaster for yoour chances of CL qualification, although judgng by recent form he looks shot and in need of a rest, him getting injured would either take you back to a 4-3-3 or allow carew and the fonz a game or two.

Good for Gabby. Hopefully boost his confidence somewhat, whether or not he gets to see some serious action.

Just shows the serious lack of quality strikers available to Capello and England, when Darren Bent is called up into the squad.
