Gabby Joins U21 Squad

Gabby Agbonlahor has been drafted into the U21's side to face Norway and France.

Gab will join up with Gardner and Milner in Pearce's squad.

They will then travel to Norway later this week for the clash at the Kimplett.no Arena in Sandefjord on Friday (5.30ko), before returning to England to face France in sunny Nottingham at the City Ground on March 31 (8ko).

Not sure that Gabby really needs to be with Pearce's squad. The young man is burned out, low on confidence, I cant see that he needs these additional games. Most youngsters are pulled out of the firing line from time to time, Gabby though hasn't been able/allowed to experience that luxury.

Capello waxed lyrical about James Milner a month or so back, stating that he (Capello) had been well impressed with the player, and that he was the future of the England team. Yet still he doesn't select him for the full international squad. Strange.
