Injury Worries Starting To Kick In For Villa?

Is our luck about to run out? Seems the injuries might be starting to catch up with us, just got to hope that the players on 4 yellow cards* can stay out of the book for now, at least until Ashley Young returns from his 3 match suspension (and he also has to be careful as he is on 4 yellows as well!)

In the Birmingham Mail Martin O'Neill has said he is concerned that Nigel Hokey-Cokey has picked up a hamstring injury. Gabby Agbonlahor also needs some treatment this week before being able to line up against Portsmouth on Tuesday night.

Hokey-Cokey picked up a hamstring injury in the second half against Doncaster Rovers and had to be replaced on the 70th minute. Might be a prompter for the transfer window perhaps with Manchester City's Daniel Sturridge and Michael Johnson again being linked with a £10million move to Villa in the press over the weekend and today.

MON said: 'It is a big concern, there’s no doubt about it, as every player who goes down is. We know we have other people missing as well, like Martin Laursen, so it is definitely a concern.'

He also explains 'Gabby has got a knock, I’m hoping he’s going to be all right. He had his leg wrapped up in the dressing room afterwards.'

*Players on 4 yellows (5 = an automatic one match ban) Gabby Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Gareth Barry and Stiliyan Petrov.

Luke Young meanwhile has served his one match ban for picking up 5 yellows.

Right I have a plan, all the players on 4 yellows, becareful to pick one up against Pompey... then against wigan, kick a few players.. get banned for the replay, all will be good again. Please pass on this plan of action to Monny, thank you.

It's a good job the squad MON has assembled over the last 2.5 years is of good quality to manage the loss of 1 or 2 first team players.

Why worry,If we can`t handle situations like this then we obviously aren`t ready to challenge in the champions league yet,Don`t worry about it, sort it,And i have 100% faith that o`neill knows what needs to be done.

Good point Krisvilla would rather they missed the replay rather than a Prem game.
