Which Striker/s Would You Start With?

So come on, we are all experts apparently....! So answer our latest poll question:

Who should start striker wise?

The options are as expansive as I could make them!

Carew and The Fonz
Carew and Harewood
Heskey and Harewood
Heskey and Gabby
Heskey and the Fonz
Gabby and the Fonz
Gabby and Harewood
The Fonz and Harewood
One up front - Gabby
One up front - Carew
One up front - Heskey
Who knows!
Carew and Heskey
Carew and Gabby

So what do you think? Go back to one up front, keep with what we have at the moment, or start to shake the pack a bit? Let us know in the forum or in article comments below!

Personally, I'd play me, but I do admit I'm in a minority of 1 there. I'd love to see the deck shuffled around a bit, to keep the opponents guessing but as being a striker is a confidence game, just ask Gabby at the moment, maybe you can't shift them about too often!?

I love the Fonz and he will become a very good striker but he's not ready just yet. The critisism Gabby has been getting has gone too far. I look back to when he burst onto the scene, just 2 or so years ago and he couldn't even dribble the ball. His game is very good now and he doesn't get enough credit for the work that obviously goes unoticed. He will run the channels all games hustling fulls backs and centre backs. Yes, hes hit a dry patch with goals, but it only takes one and he'll be back on a roll. The best strike force at the moment i think would be Carew and Gabby although i like Heskey, his all round game is great but he doesnt seem to be playing at his best at the moment.

Carew and Gabby... at least to start with. They were both great before Carew's injury and they should be given the chance before another combination with Heskey and Fonzie!

Agree Hitman, Fonz is one for the futute and the odd appearance to learn his trade. It would be interesting to see Heskey and Carew but it might be a disaster! I'd hate to be a manager, that is for sure!

Gabby and carew get my vote. They link up sweetly. We need to start scoring which Heskeys never been good at. Bit of shooting practice for Gabby is all thats needed IMO

Carew on his own and bring another on if required. Play to our strengths with what's at our disposal, 451/443.

Carew on his own, 4-5-1, if Milner hasn,t pulled his socks up we could put gabby on the wing again.

Wow, i've found an ally just when I thought it was only me thinking 451 would be our best option! I salute you johnmurphy3112. Perhaps we should start the 451 club! LOL...

By the way, I agree with you regards the Milner point as well.

As I type, I note that so far the result is that 92% would start with Carew. A level of disagreement with MON then.

Whatever else happens Carew HAS to start. No if's. No but's. Carew needs to be on from the start as he is our best striker, End of.

I'll join the 451 club please. Carew as the target man to start with. Make Heskey/Carew and Milner/Gabby fight for a place and they'll all pick up their game.

Gents, you seem to be forgetting that Heskey brings an apple EVERY day for sir Martin. How could he possibly drop him????

Just start with gabby and carew like the good "old" days.

At present i'd start with Carew up top on his own with Ash & Milner supporting - 433.

I would go with a 4-4-1-1 formation which would strengthen the midfield and play counter attacking. Almost matching Liverpool. CM: Barry and Petrov LW: Milner RW: Gabby (he needs shaking up a bit!) ACM: Young (like gerrard) CF: Carew alone Personally I think we need 3 points from the next 2 matches to have any chance of top 4. We are after the performance of the season!

I'd start with John Carew and Gabby. I personally dont think that there is a viable alternative. Emile Heskey, carrying injuries or not, just doesn't look the part...yet, while Nathan Delfouesno, isn't in my opinion ready to step up to the plate. We have to play with two up front, particularly in the home games remaining.

Milner pull his socks up? You have to be joshing johnmurphy3112, right? This summer, MON absolutely has to bring in a proven premiership quality goalscorer. Yes, it will cost, but that has been our big failing so far this season. We need that clinical finisher.
