I'm assuming that the RedCheatingLuckyOneManTeam from Merseyside will beat Everton in the replay and we will beat Donny. So, it will be RedCheatingLuckyOneManTeam vs Villa. That's us out of the cup this year then. MON might as well put the reserves out against Donny as it has become a meaningless fixture. Sorry to be pessimistic but our record against the 'top' teams is beyond poor.

Shame Howard made a mistake today for Gerrards goal, should never have been beaten on his near post.

Piper I think you are being "beyond" pessimistic. Villa's record on mersyside isn't "beyond poor". Get a grip!

Hopefully we'll finish the job and dispatch Convict FC with relative ease. We were missing arguably our 3 best strikers and 2 best midfielders today, yet they still couldn't beat us. Any team who manages to avoid defeat with Castillo in the side is doing something right. Nice to see the Fat Spanish Waiter still letting the pressure get to him in his pre and post match interviews. Would be nice to get the chance to get a little bit of revenge on you lot after the earlier fixture this season!

seriously piper...we've only lost to one "big 4 team" this year.

Why all the pessimism? Do we want to be a top team or not? Bet MON relishes the prospect of putting the fat Spanish waiter out of the cup as well as beating him in the transfer market too.

Got to beat the best to be the best. Think the attitude of our team is changing and we can beat the top 4 teams and become one of them. I agree we did have a long time when we had an inferiority complex but hopefully that is now behind us.

Think you will find it's Goodison we're off to, as I reckon Everton will turn them over in the replay. Looking forward to playing Everton again, always a good game and hopefully we can show what we can do by putting a decent performance on this time. Who knows, maybe we'll score 5 or 6 when we're not being lucky?????

Trust us to get a big club and the others easy teams. Im sure if we've got our heads on we can get a result. Would prefer the toffees to the poo though because the reds are scabby w!@nkers. All depends if Mon wants to win it or not. Always nice to win silverware but champs league has to be MONs priority. Come on everton turn the tossers over

Piper, although I find pessimism to be bizarre, I do think you're being harsh on Liverpool... they're a TWO man team ;-) Anyway I think Everton could well go through here. Horrible goalkeeping for the equaliser, unfortunate really.
