MON Happy With Dubai Break

MON Happy With Dubai Break

Martin O'Neill says that the break the team enjoyed in Dubai has helped the lads re-charge before the final furlong in this season.

He says on the official site the break was great for team bonding adding,

'I felt it was important for us because we wanted to get prepared for this very tough run-in mentally and physically. I thought the best thing to do - because we had a free weekend - was to take a few days together. We have done some training and enjoyed some sun and the players now feel refreshed.'

Adding, 'It was vital to regroup, get ourselves together again and now we want to go out and win some games.'

I know I've read some comments from fans saying this wasn't a good idea after our recent blip in results, but surely anything that helps break the normal routine and gets the players re-focused is a good thing?

The timing was good, there was a break due to the FA Cup weekend and this might have helped the players realise that the last few results don't undo the good work throughout the season and that they can keep their belief, re-focus and push for another decent run in our forthcoming games, starting with Spurs at home on Sunday?

Can't see much of a problem with that, can you?

In fact, if I was MON, I might even say, it was terrific! :o)

My mate is the resident DJ at 360° the rotating bar on the palm in Dubai. Apparently they got *****ed on the first night and had to do training in the heat the following morning. Apparently they were all sick. Since then they've been taking it easy drinking fruit juice. I guess we can allow them one ***** up on the first night. All that counts is 3 points on Sunday.
