Another Manchester City Player Linked To Villa

Another Manchester City Player Linked To Villa

According to The Sun, Villa are lining up a swoop for yet another Manchester City player!

We've so far been linked with Michael Johnson, Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge now if this red top report is to be believed, we want their Under-21 England international keeper Joe Hart.

Yes please!

Joe, if I may be so bold (bald?) as to call him that, is out of contract in the summer, as is other reported target Sturridge who has refused several new deal offers from the Eastland outfit. He has alos been sidelined following the arrival of Shay Given who cost the money bags club £14million from Newcastle - and to be fair, worth every penny, what a great keeper...!

So, not sure about the substance of the report, there are no 'sources' or quotes but hey, this would make sense, we are building the backbone for the England side as well as for Villa so seems exactly the sort of player we'd want.

I'm not saying he won't leave I'm just commentating on the sun article. Why would he leave us to be your number 2 though? He's not gonna dislodge Friedel. The only half decent team he'd have a chance of maybe getting in is Arsenal. I can see Sturridge going your way though - if you offer him the most money the little mercenary.

MCFC_Goatboy - oh yes indeed, we are the club with the billions! We're the ones offering ridiculous contracts to overrated players! Well spotted! Robinho wasn't mercenary in the slightest to join you for £160,000 a week, no no no...

There is a big differnce between Robinho, who plays for brazil and sturridge who has played 12 times for City and most iof then as sub. Would Villa pay him the £60k he is reportedly asking for? I would want a guarantee off the lad that he would score every other game. Hart contray to reports is not out of contract this summer as he signed a 5 year deal back in October and therefore will cost Villa some money, by I doubt whether he would want to swap the bench at City for the bench at Villa, as BF is the better keeper of the two. This lad wants to be a number one.
