Martin Laursen Set For Villa Return

Hot on the heels of the news that Wilfred Bouma and Nigel Hokey-Cokey are back from injury, Villa look set for another massive boost.

Defensive rock and world class defender Martin Laursen could be set to return in time for the Manchester United game at the start of April.

Such very good news this as there had been whispers this injury was possibly going to be another bad one and one that he might not return from. Glad that rumour will now be put to bed!

Martin O'Neill told the BBC that the 31 year old is progressing and says the former Denmark International is 'dead keen to play again'.

Adding, 'Everyone knows how well he has done for us during the past couple of seasons and it will be good to have as many players available as possible for the run-in.'

I think the word 'GREAT' sums this up nicely!

I wish he, along with Freddy, were fit to start tonight. We need a bit of security at the back right now.

At the moment I'd say that Laursen would come in and replace Davis..... now not many would have thought that not so long ago! Young, Knight, Laursen, Bouma.... now that sounds nice! UTV!

He'll replace knight IMO, the sooner he and bouma are back the better.....i just pray its not too late by then
benham
You can't drop knight at the moment, I reckon it'll be Davies if Knight keeps up.

I think its great news, he is our "Talisman". Just his presence seems to lift the team! I am sure he won't wait a match later than necessary! Come on Martin! We need you!
