The deal is said to be for £80 000 a week.

Nice work if you can get it. Sadly I can't...!

£80k a week for this chump who spends most of his time rolling around on the floor rather than scoring goals?!! He's no John Carew. But it looks as if he's going to be replacing him!

This might be a bit premature - but welcome Emile... May the "Fourth" be with you....

I read somewhere that ash is on £56ka week. Surely O'Neill wouldn't risk dressing room unrest by giving Heskey £80k a week? Hopefully it's false and if so I think it's a great signing- we're going to have about 6 or 7 in the next england team!

Its bollox for sure, if he didn't want to give Diarra 70k a week he's not going to go further for a much older and injury prone striker who is guaranteed to spend at least 5 games in the hospital each year.

the mighty heskey hasnt even pulled on a shirt for us yet - lets give him a chance. MON knows all about this man and was responsible for launching his career. I would love to know what Michael Own thinks of him coming to us!?!?!?!?!?!?

Owen's coming, I've got a bet on him scoring 5 goals for Villa by the end of the season.
