**Emile Heskey - The Full Goal Scoring Record**

The scoring record of 31-year-old striker Emile Ivanhoe Heskey who if the rumour mill is to be believed - and it seems to much of a news clamour now not to have some substance - is set to sign for the Mighty Claret and Blue.

Here is his goal record a) in the league b) in all competitions c) goal ratio's d) international goals

Date / Club / Appearances / (Goals)

1994–2000 - Leicester City 146 (40)
Including cup games 184 appearances - 46 goals
So 1 goal in 4 games ratio

2000–2004 - Liverpool 118 (39)
Best season was 00-01 with 14 goals in 33 league games.
Including cup games 174 appearances and 60 goals
So 1 goal in 3 games ratio

2004–2006 - Birmingham City 68 (14)
Including cup games 78 appearances and 16 goals
So 1 goal in nearly 5 games ratio

2006- - Wigan Athletic 80 (15)
In all competitions 85 games and 15 goals
So 1 goal in 5.6 games ratio

2009-2014 - Aston Villa 150 appearances (100 goals) :o)

England U18's 8 (5)
England U21 17(6)
England B 1 (1)
England 50 (5) (1 in 10 games)

He started with Leicester City as a kid. His move to Liverpool in 2000 cost then manager Gerard Houllier a massive fee of £11million.

He was sold to the Blues in 2003 for an initial £3.5m + add ons. He was Blues player of the season in 2004/05 with 11 goals. The 2005/06 season he got dogs abuse for a haul of just four goals in 34 games. And I really do mean dogs abuse, my mate (I say mate, more prison visits really) is a Blue nose and said he got the lot thrown at him.

He was sold to Wigan in 2006 for around £5.5million.

If rumours are right, he is about to join Villa for around £3.5million although that is only a press generated sum and judging by previous history, if we buy him it will be recorded as an undisclosed fee.

Our latest poll asks what sort of signing you think he'll be. I'm told he brings more than goals, with a record as above, I hope so. He could be very good for the likes of Gabby to feed off. Not enough space for three big men at Villa though, so Marlon Harewood soon to leave perhaps? And who would be first choice, Heskey or John Carew. Luckily I'm not the manager, so I don't have to think about it!

Drag up his assist record....
los_angeles_villan
We don`t have a problem scoring goals,We have a problem having another good big man to step in for carew,Heskey solves that problem.
lerneravfc
Not that heskey will not score goals by the way,Put him in our team and i bet he will score as many as carew.
lerneravfc
if the stats were there I would los_angeles_villan. Happy if you can find them to email me them. Not dragged up his goal scoring record, merely quoted it.
The Fear
what I meant was this wasn't an attack or a sarcastic article, just the facts of the player! :o)
The Fear
Remember the John Terry comment! He said Heskey was his least favourite striker to play against. I think Heskey would pop a few in as well as set up the others very frequently.

table at the bottom of this page doesnt make good reading for goals or assists! http://playthegame.timesonline.co.uk/soccer/reports/playerpage.asp?player=345845

This signing will please me no end if it goes through. He will be massive for us in our tilt for the title. Oh Yes! I've just come over all unnecessary.
andy5759
rofl. yea we dun have problem scoring goals. the balls from our midfield is enough to make any big strikers score a hatrick in 1 match. but its all up to mon really..
Gruck
Is it only me who thinks this is a terrible signing! If we are signing strikers who cant score we may as well get defenders who cant defend. I understand we need extra bodies up front but Heskey...!?He is very overated at Wigan and I would have taken around 5 other players from Wigan before him...palacious, valencia, kirkland, sharner, zaki... need i go on?
Tez86
Yes Tez86. Be patient we buying all those players one at a time over the next 10 years but MON thought we will begin with Heskey just to ***** you off. I am really just kidding
Pablo1978
Good signing if it goes ahead... MON loves a target man and there are no better english target men around...Hence Capello's recall of Heskey to the England side. At 31 he's knocking on and needs to steer clear of injury but he's also wise and well travelled! Heskey still has a turn of pace and great feet for a big man, plus his attitude is spot on and will put in as much of a shift as Milner. £3.5m?? It's nothing really is it for a player that ok, doesn't score alot, but will provide our defence with a bit of respite with is ability to hold a ball up and battle!
Hitman
Even if Heskey doesn't score any more than he usually does himself (which with our supply to the front men I think he just might) then I'd bet a substantial fee that Gabby, Ash and Milner start getting on the scoresheet more with him in the side. So much more to his game than putting the ball in the net - Please see Reference A; Croatia V England.
Mayo_12
OK this gag has gone on long enough,,, Villa 4th in the League pushing for a top four finish what kind of idiot would believe our manager was going to actually pay for Heskey.
