Barry Looking For Revenge, Aren't We All

Gareth Barry has promised Villa fans that there will be no repeat 'of one of the most disappointing nights of - his - career' this weekend.

Speaking to the press ahead of Saturday's visit to Doncaster Rovers, Barry revealed his disappointment over the 3-0 loss we suffered at their hands a few seasons ago.

'If you look back over the games I've been involved in, that one at Doncaster is one of the worst and disappointing that I've been involved in.

'It was a tough night to take. The League Cup is a competition you try and go far in each year so to lose at that stage so heavily to a lower league team was massively disappointing.

'But equally those are the sort of games that you learn from and you can improve by making sure it doesn't happen again.

'I also think Doncaster are a different sort of outfit from that night three years ago. They've got a new stadium and new players that play good football.'

Even James Milner has made passing comments that some of the players may simply not have fancied it last time round, but it seems a few in the camp have a score to settle this time round.

I imagine the defeats at home against Leicester and QPR in previous years have already been forgotten by Gazza... it was not 3-0 like against Doncaster, but it's still quite embarassing, isn't it? Anyway, glad to see the players up for a revenge!

You haven't got many of the original players left, and of those that are half of them are injured.
