Lawro Says Weekend Draw - Mystic Mug Says Win!

Mark Lawrenson, he of no moustache, has predicted on the BBC site a 1-1 draw for Blackburn v Villa.

Wrong! Mystic Mug says 1-0 to Villa and we all know Mystic Mug knows his stuff.

Lawro said: 'Rovers manager Sam Allardyce is still unbeaten and I think that will continue this weekend. The players will be full of confidence after their recent run and because they are at home. Allardyce has instilled a bit of steel in them and the Roque Santa Cruz situation has now been put to bed until the summer - when he will likely leave - and Sam will be looking to get the best out of him. Villa are on a fantastic run away from home, with seven league wins on the bounce, but that has to come to an end at some stage.'

Meanwhile Brad Friedel has warned his team mates they need to watch out for Roque Santa Cruz. I'm more worried about Benni McCarthy who seems to be on a roll, but hey, our defence is up to the threat!

Brad said on the official site: 'I was with him every day in training and he's a very hard worker who knows where the goal is. Pound for pound, I reckon he is Blackburn's best signing for quite some time. They got him for around £3m and that was a real bargain.'

Martin O'Neill has spoken to the official site about the Blackburn game (Click Here)

'I accept Blackburn are on a good run at the moment - despite the fact they are in a bottom three. They have been a good run - with a change of management - and things are happening for them. It will be a tough game for us but again, we'll just go with it and play in the manner we have been doing. It is up to us - it always is - and I think we are capable of winning the game. We have won nine out of 12 away from home, which is really staggering.'

Villa are going for their 7th away win on the trot. COME ON YOU VILLA BOYS!

Not begging but always a help in these recessionary times if you folks click on adverts to see what is on offer and especially playing the small viral videos in articles :o)

I am glad Lawrenson didnt predict a Rovers win!!! that is normally the kiss of death!!!

9 wins from 12 away from home. effing brilliant. i look forward to the away games more than home ones. i think it actually helps us if we concede an early goal at home cos we always seem to turn it round into a win. however, we have won every game we have scored first in this season (11 games or somthing like that). es maravilloso

Lawrenson said "Villa are on a fantastic run away from home, with seven league wins on the bounce, but that has to come to an end at some stage" And Blackburn's good run has to come to an end sometime as well Lawrenson
BKKVILLA
Im going for a 3-1 win to Villa. Blackburn play some good football but i think their intent on attacking us will be their down fall!! Gabby to get on the scoresheet with a brace and Young...Ashley that is!
