Majority Expected Better Transfer Window

Vital Villa asked in our last poll:

Transfer Window was?

49% voted 'worse than expected'.

35% went for the option saying the transfer window was 'ok' and have faith.

That left 7% saying average, 5% awful and just 4% great!

Roll on the summer transfer gossip then! :o)

BOOOOOOO!!!Can`t believe we signed an international striker.

I suppose we just have to have faith in O'Neill's judgement, i wonder how many will turn on him if we manage 5th and get knocked out the cups. His decision, lets hope he hasnt made the wrong one. I will wait till May before deciding whether the window was a good one. UTV

at the end of the day we must remember that even if we finish 5th and get knocked out of the cups, its still another year of improvement. I am very optimistic, I hope we finish in the top 4 (maybe 3rd if Liverpoo continue how they are), I hope we get far in the cups, if not win one of them at least. I will still be happy and looking forward to next season even if 5th is the result. Whats the worst that will happen? Barry will leave. So what, he will be replaced by Sidwell, Gardner or Reo Coker in the middle! Happy days are very near and being too successful this season could actually be bad for us...!

Barry leaving would not be a good thing at all.
young_jonah
never said it was a good thing...??

Barry is replacable but its just getting someone to bond with the team quickly. Dont think sidwell/reo/gardner are the same mould. I dont even want to think about him doin one though

I thought the window was still open. It seems to be at the Emirates.

I agree with the result of the poll, in my view it was a disappointment and I think that we should have added to our small squad, I can’t understand why we didn’t, the transfer window isn’t that short and everyone knows when it starts and finishes, it is beyond me how and why we failed to add some (additional) quality. Heskey is a great signing but he isn’t enough, we needed 2 or 3 more quality players, they don’t all have to be superstars and I know it’s a case of quality not quantity but we’ve had such a small squad for such a long time, surely it was a missed opportunity – time will tell. I will never turn on MON or Randy, they’re the best thing to happen to Villa for decades, but I feel I have the right to be critical on this windows transfer results or lack of them. Yeah, OK call my an armchair manager etc etc, but tell me who are the 4% who think the window was great!!?? Now let's get on with it UTV and here's looking forward to the Champions League - fingers crossed
