Is all this talk about Villa being lucky right?
An article acompanied it: Poll: Are Villa Just Lucky!?!?!?!?
Well, it seems we aren't just lucky!!!!
62% voted: No, we're working hard in defence + taking chances
22% went for the option 'yes, we have been getting the rub of the green'.
That left:
No, Arsenal fans are just worried by Villa! (12%)
No more than any other team (4%)

You've had some decent fortune of late, whilst RvP has hit the bar 14 times this season! However, I'm a big believer in the sanctity of the league table and you are where you are because you deserve to be (besides, I was at Villa Park on Boxing Day and watched you guys hit the woodwork four times). After 38 games every team will finish where they deserve to. I happen to think you're counter attacking play away from home is excellent and you defended brilliantly at Pompey. That's what top teams do, take their chances when they come and defend excellently, United have been doing that for years. I wouldn't worry too much about people calling you lucky, it's better than being called "brave" or "plucky." Wherever you finish at the end of the campaign, it'll be what you deserve, same goes for us (Arsenal) and every other team. Eisenhower once said, "don't give me a good general, give me a lucky general."
