O'Neill Still Hoping To Make Signings

Martin O'Neill has told the official site that he is still looking to add a few bodies to the squad as we move towards the close of the January transfer window.

The last chance is February 2 at 5pm so no doubt the directors and Martin O'Neill will be trying their best before Monday to add the sort of quality required!

Looks like it could go to the wire, are our nerves up to it?

He told AVTV: 'In an ideal world, it would be great if we could add to the squad. It would be great to get one or two extra people in. With Martin Laursen out, we are looking to try and add defensively. I just feel we could do with some more defensive cover. I will pursue it right until the end because after the transfer window closes, that's it. That's your lot.'

Adding, 'I will try and do something, even at this late stage. There are a couple of things we are working on but I can't say they are very, very close but we are working on them.'

Tease!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON THE VILLA.

Yeah but football doesn`t revolve around who villa want,I`m sure he tied his best last time and will do the same this time.We don`t really need anyone else imo a striker was the main ting and we got heskey in.If we can get someone else in it would be a bonus.

Couldn't agree more, avflell! On the positive side though, I don't think he was as specific as this last January, so I would put a small sum on some additions this time!

Be interesting to see if Sharner plays tomorrow!
Nigel-not-Reo
But the last late signing was Salifou! NO NO NO! Better late than never? Better NEVER late! MON should have been a politician, we all think he has said something, but if you analyse his words, he has said nothing! Keeping himself covered! But I am sure if they can, they will bring in some new players. New Centre Back? Or someone who can play centre back, or Left Back. Someone like that was linked with us yesterday? Just who was it?
