Pearce After Clear The Air Talks

Stuart Pearce has said that Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor might still be in his plans as he plans clear the air talks with the player and Villa boss.

Gabby was left out of the England U21 squad for the Euro Championship after failing to return calls from Pearce. Martin O'Neill later said that was all due to a mix up! (Click Here for Martin O'Neill quotes at the time)

The England Under-21 manager said: 'I didn't do it before now because I didn't know I would be working for the FA, but one of the first things I have to do is get in my car and go to Birmingham to visit the player and manager. We need to sit and have good communications with them.'

Good for Pearcy - another under-rated honest manager. Let's hope one day that he lands the senior England job from that pr..t MccLaren

and lets hope he puts gardener in the U21s

please work!! i couldn't bare seeing Gabby pull on a scotland shirt!!! (i have this dream of watching England walk out with Gabby and Walcott up front... the pace would kill the opposition!!)

Pearce should walk on his hands and knees for hanging our Gabby out to dry, personally i would prefer him rested in International breaks and not have to listen to Wigley talking rubbish.

Pearce is a prat, he went public with his slagging of Gabby far to quick. If i was Gabby i would seriously be tempted to tell him to kiss my ring piece.

I thought Pearce's tactics in the championship's were rubbish we had a good attacking team started matches well scored early goals and then sat back inviting pressure, against Holland he took both the strikers of well to early and paid the price.

Pearce is no fool. He's well aware that his success at this level will rely on him having the likes of Gabby at his disposal, hence the peace offering. Having said that though, he (Pearce) was hardly to blame for the strange situation that saw Gabby miss out on the European Under 21 Championships.

Doesn't Gabby have to make a decision very shortly as to where his future international loyalties lie? As a born and bred Brummie you'd think that England would be the only option open to him, but whoever he chooses, the best of luck to him.
