Lucky Draw To Enter Holte Hotel

Lucky Draw To Enter Holte Hotel

The club have announced that Season Ticket Holders will be put into a draw to decide access to the soon to open Holte Hotel pub. The restorated Holte is open to the public from August 5th and some fans will be able to go in on Saturday August 4 before the pre-season friendly with Inter Milan.

The capacity is just 130 so you can understand that it must be a nightmare trying to decide who to let in or how to let as many fans as possible get in on match days. It is open the rest of the week as well though, so plenty of time and space for us all. Sunday lunch is on offer on, well Sundays and Thursday nights they are going to do a 'curry night'. Hmmmmm, curry!

The official site had a statement from the Villa Board of Directors which read:

'The Holte Hotel has been an iconic part of the Villa experience since the club first arrived on the site behind it. Due however to its capacity, it is not able to function extensively on match days but our hope is that it adds in some small way to the continuity of the heritage and history for Villa supporters and the local community, into the future.'

"restorated" - that's not even an American word! :-)) But the Holte Hotel looks really nice in the pictures so I can't wait to "quaff a traditional English Ale" in there although it will most likely be on a Thursday afternoon given the numbers admitted

Shame only 130 can fit inside, but a nice feature for Villa Park. Mind you should be able to fit all the Blues season ticket holders in there when they visit !!

Good to have the Holte Hotel back in business. I used to enjoy my pre-games in there during the seventies, and the atmosphere created was second to none. It is truly part and parcel of the Villa Park experience, and I always felt it very sad that it was allowed to reach such a state of neglect and decay. Well done Randy and co for restoring to grace a very important part of Villa Park history.

It should be on a first come first serve basis, say you go the villa with five friends and your one of the lucky 130 to be draw out the hat your not going to def out your mates and go on your tod .
